Modern concrete garden fences — which models suit

Next to a modern house, panels with straight lines and calm relief look good: the smooth Simple, Nova and Smooth-Rebated, the horizontal Liner and Rain Guard, or the openwork models of the Aero Line series. The colour is grey or white, and the height 150, 180 or 210 cm.

A modern house is recognised by its straight lines, large glazed areas and clean façade. A fence with ornaments and arches next to such a house looks as if it were taken from another garden. The fence does not have to impress. It has to suit the house and the street.

We have 22 models, in four series — solid, open-work and relief. The smooth and horizontal ones look best next to a modern house.

Does a concrete fence suit a modern house?

Yes. We cast the panels in silicone moulds: the edges of the relief come out sharp and the flat surfaces even.

Solid panels are stacked without gaps and the garden cannot be seen from the street. The fence requires practically no maintenance — no painting and no yearly repairs. Its service life is over 50 years, and the warranty is 15 years. We install a typical fence in 2–3 days on prepared ground with the materials delivered.

What sets a modern garden apart?

Straight lines, few materials, neutral colours — white, grey, concrete, glass and wood. One rule applies to the fence: the more striking the façade, the calmer the panel should be.

Which solid models have a clean line?

If you want complete privacy and a fence that does not draw the eye, start with four models. Simple is a smooth solid panel without relief; at 61 kg it is the heaviest of the 183 × 30 panels, because no concrete has been taken out of it for relief. The panels fit into each other by tongue and groove, and the joint between the rows is thin and straight. Grande is one long smooth field, slightly recessed within a narrow frame — row upon row, it forms a series of identical rectangular fields. Liner is made of straight horizontal bands with narrow channels between them, without ornament. Rain Guard is made of horizontal strips with a bevelled edge, one below the other, like the slats of a blind; the shadow under each strip is visible from the street.

The horizontal rhythm of Liner and Rain Guard works well next to houses with a flat roof and long windows. Simple and Grande are more restrained — for a façade that already has a strong accent.

With the same clean line are Nova and Smooth-Rebated — again one long field per panel, only the edge around it differs — and Waves, with fine rounded horizontal ribs along the full length of the panel.

Which models let light through without exposing the garden?

The four models of the Aero Line series are open-work. With Avalon, each panel is a single horizontal slat and long gaps remain between the rows: from the street the garden is seen in strips, and from the garden the rhythm is the same, because the gaps run through the whole panel. Lights has a row of round openings across the middle of the panel — light passes through, the garden is partly visible. Visio is a smooth panel with three elongated horizontal openings with rounded ends. Space is a weave of wide smooth bands with small square openings between them; the openings are small and the garden is hardly visible from the street.

An open-work model is placed facing the street or in a small garden that needs to stay bright. If you need privacy only from the neighbours, combine them: open-work towards the street, solid along the other boundaries. Describe your idea in the enquiry.

Which models have a more pronounced relief?

Flower has geometric flowers with four pointed petals each, arranged closely in two rows. Royal — two rows of slightly raised squares with soft transitions instead of sharp edges. With Dune and Ocean the relief is wave-like, without sharp edges: with Dune the lines are thin, with Ocean the wave is bolder.

If the house has stone cladding, continue it with a stone relief — layered rubble stone with Stacked Stone. With timber cladding or timber accents on the façade, the same applies to the board relief: Lightwood, Timberlap, Douglas and Cedar. Stacked Stone and the four wood models belong to the Nature Line series; for Stacked Stone there is also an industrial offer for fences over 200 linear metres. Traditional has traditional motifs and looks better next to a classic house.

Grey or white fence for a modern garden?

Every model comes in two colours — standard grey and premium white. The white comes from white Portland cement and marble aggregates in the concrete itself, not from paint; there is no coating that needs renewing. White suits light façades. Grey is the natural colour of concrete and looks good next to exposed concrete, dark window frames, wood and stone.

For 18 of the 22 models the price is the same: 48, 56 and 63 €/m in grey and 79, 92 and 104 €/m in white — at heights of 150, 180 and 210 cm respectively. The overall range is 37–78 €/m for the grey version and 61–129 €/m for the white, depending on model and height. Prices are excl. VAT and are for the elements; transport is stated in the quote, and installation is quoted separately, on request. The full price list is on a separate page, and a sample calculation is in how much a concrete fence costs. Comparisons with other materials: concrete or brick and concrete or mesh.

What height should you choose?

150, 180 or 210 cm — 5, 6 or 7 rows of panels; Douglas and Cedar are 160 or 200 cm, Stacked Stone — 150 or 200 cm. For a residential garden, 180 cm is the most common choice; 210 cm makes sense on a busy street or when the neighbouring building overlooks you.

On sloping ground the fence is installed in steps and each section between two posts stays horizontal — see fence on sloping ground.

What does the back of the fence look like?

On all models the relief is on the front face. The back of the panel is unfinished; if desired, it can be skimmed with adhesive and fibreglass mesh — at any time after assembly.
