Can a fence be installed in winter?
Production runs all year round in enclosed halls, and assembly depends only on the weather on site. In the coldest weeks of January and February we pause; in winter there are more free dates for assembly.
Yes. We install in winter too — at temperatures above −5 °C and on ground without snow.
At what temperature can assembly be done in winter?
The temperature must be above −5 °C and the ground free of snow. Both conditions are checked on site before the assembly date. If snow falls during the week of assembly or the temperature drops below −5 °C, the date is moved by a few days. Longer pauses occur in the coldest weeks of January and February, when conditions do not allow work on site. Otherwise, in winter we install just as during the rest of the year.
Are panels produced in winter?
Yes. The panels are not cast outdoors. The factory has been operating since 2011 in Măgurele, near Bucharest, with three enclosed halls — production runs all year round, whatever the weather outside.
The recipe is the same in January and in June: reinforced concrete with 42.5R Portland cement, the same panels. Winter can at most shift the day of assembly.

Why winter may be the better time
In spring and summer, assembly schedules fill up faster. In winter there are more free dates — assembly can be arranged sooner, and the fence stands ready when spring arrives.
A typical fence — a few dozen up to about 100 linear metres — is assembled in 2–3 days with prepared ground and delivered materials; for longer fences the lead time is stated in the quote.
How assembly works
As in summer: the posts are set in concrete in individual foundations of about 40 × 40 × 80 cm, and the first row of panels is embedded 5–10 cm into the ground; on unstable soil or sloping ground the foundations are linked by a strip plinth of about 20 × 70 cm. The base is chosen according to the ground, not the season, and is decided before the assembly date. In detail — in the article how a precast concrete fence is assembled.
What does not depend on the season
The warranty is 15 years for all fences — including those under the industrial offer — with a warranty card and a certificate of conformity. The service life exceeds 50 years.
For the warranty to apply, finishing work must be done with suitable materials — no oils or cement in the joints. The full terms are set out in the warranty card.
The back of the panel is unfinished. If desired, it can be skimmed with a thin layer of adhesive with embedded exterior fibreglass mesh — at any time after assembly. It can also be done in spring, when it is warm.
Guide prices
Prices are the same all year round — winter brings no surcharge. The elements cost €32–129 per linear metre excl. VAT; the lowest prices are from the industrial offer — on Liner, Simple, Rain Guard and Stacked Stone, for fences over 200 linear metres long, in grey and in white. The price per linear metre includes the panels and the posts; transport is stated in the quote, and installation is quoted separately, on request. All models and their prices are published.
The steps are described in ‘How we work’, the technical details on the assembly page, and the most common questions in the FAQ.
